RFEG Advisory Board
MISSION
The Board acts in an advisory
capacity to the department in setting operational and financial policies
to promote and support the Regional Fisheries Enhancement Group (RFEG)
Program.
OVERVIEW
The RFEG Advisory Board is
made up of eight members. The director of the Department of Fish and Wildlife
appoints seven members, of which two represent commercial fishing interests,
two represent recreational fishing interests, and three are at-large positions.
The two tribal commissions also may each nominate one Board member.
The Board, at its quarterly
public meetings, reviews RFEG project proposals and makes recommendations
to the director for funding approval. The Board operates under a committee
structure with representatives from the RFEGs and board members. The committees
are: 1) Administration and Finance; 2) Project Review; and, 3) RFEG Representative.
