Kenneth Chew

Kenneth Chew Ken Chew, of Seattle, was appointed to the Commission in November 2004. Before his retirement in 2004, Ken served as associate dean of the College of Ocean and Fishery Sciences and as director of the University of Washington's Western Regional Aquaculture Center. Ken holds a Ph.D. in fisheries from the University of Washington, and is known internationally for his scientific contributions to shellfish biology, aquaculture, and marine ecology. He has published over 100 papers in scientific journals, reports, proceedings, book chapters, and trade publications. (CURRENT TERM: Jan. 1, 2005 - Dec. 31, 2010)
