CONFERENCE CALL August 22, 2000 - 9:00 a.m. Olympia, Washington ATTENDANCE: Commission Department Kelly White, Chairman Jeff Koenings, Director Russ Cahill, Vice Chairman Larry Peck, Deputy Director Lisa Pelly Jim Lux Will Roehl Harvey Childs Fred Shiosaki Tim Smith Bob Tuck Van Van Gytenbeek Commission Staff: Public: Debbie Nelson Willy O'Neill (NOTE: At the August 10-12, 2000 Commission meeting, public input on the proposed Department's 2001-2003 Operating Budget, 2001-2003 Capital Budget, and 2001 Request Legislation was accepted. The Commission tabled consideration of approval of the proposed budgets and request legislation until the August 22, 2000 conference call.) DEPARTMENT 2001-2003 OPERATING BUDGET: Jim Lux presented for Commission approval the Department's proposed 2001-2003 Operating Budget. Commissioner Cahill moved, seconded by Commissioner Pelly, to approve the Department's 2001-2003 Operating Budget, as presented and amended, for submission to the Office of Financial Management. The motion carried unanimously. Commissioner Cahill moved, seconded by Commissioner Van Gytenbeek, to approve the Department's General Fund-State reduction proposals that equate to two percent of the Department's General Fund-State combined carry-forward and maintenance funding levels, as presented and amended, for submission to the Office of Financial Management. The motion carried unanimously. DEPARTMENT 2001-2003 CAPITAL BUDGET: Harvey Childs presented for Commission approval the Department's proposed 2001-2003 Capital Budget. Commissioner Pelly moved, seconded by Commissioner Roehl, to approve the Department's 2001-2003 Capital Budget, as presented and amended, for submission to the Office of Financial Management. The motion carried unanimously. DEPARTMENT'S 2001 REQUEST LEGISLATION: Tim Smith presented for Commission approval the Department's proposed 2001 Request Legislation. Commissioner Cahill moved, seconded by Commissioner Shiosaki, to approve the Department's 2001 Request Legislation, as presented and amended, for submission to the Office of Financial Management. The motion carried unanimously.
