Meeting via Conference Call February 15, 2008 - 8:30 a.m. Olympia, Washington ATTENDANCE: Commission Jerry Gutzwiler, Chair Department Miranda Wecker, Vice Chair Phil Anderson, Deputy Director, Resource Policy Ken Chew Joe Stohr, Deputy Director, Operations Gary Douvia Bruce Bjork, Chief, Enforcement Program Conrad Mahnken Tom Davis, Special Assistant - Legislative George Orr Craig Burley, Fish Program Chuck Perry Jim Uehara, Fish Program Will Roehl Public Commission Staff: None Nancy Burkhart Chair Gutzwiler called the meeting to order at 8:40 a.m. LEGISLATIVE SESSION UPDATE: Commissioners and Tom Davis discussed the status of legislation related to the conservation and management of fish and wildlife resources in Washington State. TRIPLOID TROUT DISTRIBUTION - DECISION: Craig Burley presented the Department's 2008 Triploid Trout Stocking Plan for approval. Commissioner Orr moved, seconded by Commissioner Perry, moved to adopt the 2008 Triploid Trout Stocking Plan as presented. The motion carried unanimously. COMMISSION MEETING CALENDAR - DECISION: Due to the Oregon Fish and Wildlife Commission inviting the Washington Fish and Wildlife Commission to a Joint Meeting on December 11, 2008, Commissioner Roehl moved, seconded by Commissioner Mahnken, to change the Commission's December 5-6, 2008, Meeting to December 12-13, 2008, to coincide with the December 11, 2008, Joint Meeting with the Oregon Fish and Wildlife Commission. The motion carried unanimously. COMMISSION COMMITTEE REPORTS: The Commissioners discussed activities of the various Commission committees. This item had been deferred from the February 1-2, 2008 Commission meeting. GENERAL DISCUSSION: The Commissioners discussed recent activities and items of interest. MEMOS AND AUTHORITIES FROM THE FEBRUARY 15, 2008 FISH AND WILDLIFE COMMISSION MEETING via CONFERENCE CALL, OLYMPIA Approval of 2008 Triploid Trout Stocking Plan - Motion by Orr, second by Perry, to adopt the 2008 Triploid Trout Stocking Plan as presented. The motion carried unanimously. Commission Meeting Calendar - Motion by Roehl, second by Mahnken, to change the Commission's December 5-6, 2008, Meeting to December 12-13, 2008, to coincide with the December 11, 2008, Joint Meeting with the Oregon Fish and Wildlife Commission.
