PETITION TO AMEND WAC 232-12-257 - DOUG ERICKSEN:

Commissioner Shiosaki moved, seconded by Commissioner Tuck, to deny Doug Ericksen's Petition to Amend WAC 232-12-257, Use of Waterfowl Decoys. The motion carried unanimously.

Commissioner Pelly moved, seconded by Commissioner Roehl, to request the Department review California's data, and other states' data if available, concerning the use or aid of battery-powered or other electronic devices as decoys, and report back to the Commission prior to the August 2002 Commission meeting. The motion to request Department action carried unanimously.

Josh Weiss is to contact Representatives Jim Buck and Dave Quall and inform them of the Commission's decision and the request to the Department.

MINUTES:

Commissioner Pelly moved, seconded by Commissioner Tuck, to approve the Minutes of the following:

- December 5, 2001 Commission conference call, revised to correct individual's name; and
- December 20, 2001 Commission conference call.

The motion to approve the Minutes carried unanimously.

RECENT ACTIVITIES:

Commissioners, Director Koenings, and Deputy Director Peck discussed recent activities and items of interest.
