CONFERENCE CALL
July 29, 1999 - 9:00 a.m.
Olympia, Washington
ATTENDANCE: Commission Department Kelly White, Chairman Jeff Koenings, Director Lisa Pelly Dan Budd Fred Shiosaki Bob Tuck Public: Van Van Gytenbeek None Commission Staff: Nancy Burkhart
PROPOSED LAND TRANSACTIONS:
Dan Budd presented the Department's request for approval of numerous proposed land transactions.
Commissioner Pelly moved, seconded by Commissioner Tuck, to approve the following land transactions:
- Acquisition of the 40-acre Aiken property in Lincoln County for $10,000;
- Acquisition of the 80-acre Koch property in Lincoln County for $20,000;
- Exchange of tidelands and a boundary line adjustment of the Oen Property, Quilcene Bay, in Jefferson County;
- Easement request across the former Buchanon property in Okanogan County to Gary Phillips at no cost; and
- Easement request of .26 acres to Whatcom County Public Utility District No. 1 in Whatcom County for $1,000.
The motion carried unanimously.
Commissioner Pelly moved, seconded by Commissioner Tuck, to not sell the Department's 6.03-acre Pratt surplus property in Adams County. The motion carried unanimously.
Commissioner Pelly moved, seconded by Commissioner Tuck, to delay any decision on the following proposed land transactions until after Commissioners can visit the sites:
- Acquisition of the 38.40-acre Michael and Darden Burns property and a 38.07-acre conservation easement on a 38.07-acre parcel of the Burns property in Okanogan County for $550,000; and
- Acquisition of a conservation easement on the 400-acre Jay and Victor Stokes property in Okanogan County for $341,000.
The motion carried unanimously.
Dan Budd agreed to put together for the Commission and interested public a site visit in August of the Burns and Stokes properties.

- April 30-May 1, 1999 Commission work session
- May 13, 1999 Commission conference call
- May 14-15, 1999 Commission workshop
- May 27, 1999 Commission conference call
- June 3, 1999 Commission conference call
- June 10, 1999 Commission conference call
- June 24, 1999 Commission conference call
- July 8, 1999 Commission conference call.
The motion carried unanimously.

Director Koenings discussed recent activities and items of interest.
