CONFERENCE CALL

Chair Ozment called the conference call to order at 8:08 a.m.
EXECUTIVE SESSION:
The Commission immediately went into Executive Session pursuant to RCW 42.30.110 to discuss the compensation of a public employee or employees. The Executive Session was closed to the public. No action was taken during the Executive Session.Chair Ozment called the conference call back to order at 9:00 a.m.
Commission Shiosaki moved, seconded by Commissioner Roehl, to recommend to Governor Gregoire that the WDFW Director's salary be raised to $135,000 annually. The motion carried unanimously.
Commissioner Shiosaki moved, seconded by Commissioner Roehl, to recommend to Governor Gregoire that Director Jeff Koenings' salary be retroactive to January 1, 2005. The motion failed.<
BURCH MOUNTAIN POWER LINE -- ACTION:
Dan Budd, Bill Tweit, and Tracy Yount (Chelan County PUD) presented for Commission approval an easement across the Swakane Wildlife Area to Chelan County PUD for the Burch Mountain Power Line. Department and Chelan County PUD staffs briefed the Commission at the February 4-5, 2005, and June 17-18, 2005, Commission meetings.No individuals provided oral testimony on the proposal during the conference call.
Commissioner Shiosaki moved, seconded by Commissioner Roehl, to approve the grant of an easement across the Swakane Wildlife Area in Chelan County to the Chelan Public Utility District for construction of the Burch Mountain power line. The motion carried unanimously.
GENERAL DISCUSSION:
Commissioners and the Jeff Koenings discussed recent activities and items of interest.
