Chair Ozment called the conference call to order at 8:34 a.m.
REDUCTION OF COMMERCIAL GREEN STURGEON MAXIMUM SIZE LIMIT RULES -- BRIEFING:
Bob Gibbons briefed the Commission on proposed rule amendments that would set the statewide maximum size limit on green sturgeon at 60 inches in the commercial fishery. The Commission will consider action at its June 9-10, 2006, Commission meeting in Wenatchee.SPORT FISHING RULE CONSOLIDATION -- BRIEFING:
Evan Jacoby briefed the Commission on rule proposals that would consolidate sport fishing rules, except for fishing contests. This is a housekeeping measure for ease of locating rules within the WAC. The Commission will consider action at its June 9-10, 2006, Commission meeting in Wenatchee.GOLD MINERS' RALLY -- BRIEFING:
Greg Hueckel briefed the Commission on the Department's involvement in the August 2006 gold miners' rally at Oroville.GENERAL DISCUSSION:
Commissioners and Director Koenings discussed recent activities and items of interest.
