CONFERENCE CALL November 1, 2001 - 9:00 a.m. Olympia, Washington ATTENDANCE: Commission Department Russ Cahill, Chair Jeff Koenings, Director Will Roehl, vice Chair Morris Barker Ron Ozment Jim Lux Lisa Pelly Dawn Reynolds Fred Sshiosaki Bob Tuck Van Van Gytenbeek Kelly White Commission Staff: Public: None Nancy Burkhart PETITION TO AMEND WAC 220-12-020 - JAMES CHAPMAN Commissioner Van Gytenbeek moved, seconded by Commissioner Roehl, to deny James Chapman's Petition to Amend WAC 220-12-020, Shellfish -- Classification, and directed the Department to describe identifying characteristics of graceful crab in future fishing pamphlets as an unclassified marine invertebrate. The motion carried unanimously. RECENT ACTIVITIES: Commissioners and Director Koenings discussed recent activities and items of interest. The Department is to provide a graph showing the trend of previous funding for the last 2-3 years and proposed cuts. The Executive Committee will meet with Department staff on November 9, 2001 to discuss the Department's proposed budget reductions and revenue-generating package. Commissioners are to provide their comments to the Executive Committee prior to November 9.
