CONFERENCE CALL November 2, 2000 - 9:00 a.m. Olympia, Washington ATTENDANCE: Commission Department Kelly White, Chairman Jeff Koenings, Director Russ Cahill, Vice Chairman Larry Peck, Deputy Director Lisa Pelly Jim Lux Will Roehl Les Brodie Bob Tuck Bruce Bjork Commission Staff: Public: None Debbie Nelson Department staff briefed the Commission on the status of the Department's current biennial budget and the Commission's participation in a survey developed to assess and evaluate the Department's interactions with ESA issues in the Methow. Department staff will provide another Commission briefing prior to distribution of the survey. As requested by the Commission, Department staff will provide at the November 3-4 workshop an update on the summer 2000 Methow River trout fishery. Commissioner Cahill requested the Department provide the Commission with the status of the tribal net placed across the Sund Rock Marine Preserve and a summary of tribal involvement in the establishment of marine protected areas as fishery management tools.
