CONFERENCE CALL October 7, 1999 - 9:00 a.m. Olympia, Washington ATTENDANCE: Commission Department Kelly White, Chairman Jeff Koenings, Director Russ Cahill, Vice Chairman Larry Peck, Deputy Director Don Heinicke Jim Lux Lisa Pelly Tim Smith Will Roehl Bruce Bjork Commission Staff: Dave Brittell Debbie Nelson Greg Hueckel Other Department Staff Public: Frank Urabeck, Northwest Marine Trade Assn. 2000 SUPPLEMENTAL BUDGET REQUEST: Jim Lux presented the Department's proposed 2000 Supplemental Budget Request. Commissioners suggested the following changes be made to the request package: - Item # 3, Safety Requirements, be moved up as Item #1. - Supplemental winter feeding and winter range rehabilitation be removed from Item #14, Chiliwist Fire, and added as a new Item #4. Funding for range restoration should remain in Item #14. - Item #4, Salmon Recovery - Ensuring State's Role in Dam Relicensing, be reworded to clarify it does not include Snake River dams. One individual provided oral testimony on the proposed supplemental budget request during the meeting. Commissioner Pelly moved, seconded by Commissioner Cahill, to approve the Department's 2000 Supplemental Budget Request for submission to the Office of Financial Management. The motion carried unanimously. 2000 REQUEST LEGISLATION: Tim Smith presented the Department's proposed request legislation for the 2000 Legislative Session. One individual provided oral testimony on the proposed request legislation during the meeting. Commissioner Cahill moved, seconded by Commissioner Heinicke, to approve the Department's request legislation for the 2000 Legislative Session for final submission to the Office of Financial Management, including an adjusted proposed fee schedule for Hydraulic Project Approvals.
