Hunter Lisa Pelly Fred Shiosaki Public Bob Tuck None Van Van Gytenbeek Commission Staff: Susan Yeager AMENDMENTS TO THE DEPARTMENT'S PROPOSED 2004 REQUEST LEGISLATION: Tom Davis reported that the Department had received a request from the Governor's Office to amend the Department's proposed 2004 request legislation package. The Department requested direction from the Commission concerning license fee consolidation, and if more justification about the smelt and albacore bill (which would require a personal-use license) should be provided to the Office of Financial Management. Commissioner Tuck moved, seconded by Commissioner Shiosaki, to amend the Department's proposed 2004 request legislation package by directing Department staff to consolidate the license fees into one bill that would grant general authority to the Commission to set license fees, and to provide more justification to OFM concerning the smelt and albacore bill. The motion to amend the Department's proposed 2004 request legislation packet carried unanimously. The Commission instructed the Director to draft the license fee bill so the general authority sections are easily separable from the other license fee provisions.
