CONFERENCE CALL September 1, 2006 - 8:30 a.m. Olympia, Washington ATTENDANCE: Commission Department Ron Ozment, Chair Jeff Koenings, Director Fred Shiosaki, Vice Chair Bruce Bjork, Enforcement Ken Chew Greg Hueckel, Habitat Program Jerry Gutzwiler Chuck Perry Will Roehl Shirley Solomon Miranda Wecker Public Commission Staff: None Nancy Burkhart APPROVAL OF MINUTES: Commissioner Shiosaki moved, seconded by Commissioner Solomon, to approve the minutes of the August 4-5, 2006, Commission meeting. The motion carried unanimously. Commissioner Roehl moved, seconded by Commissioner Wecker, to approve the minutes of the August 11, 2006, Commission conference call. The motion carried unanimously. 2007 COMMISSION MEETING CALENDAR -- ACTION: After discussion, the Commission chose the following dates and locations for 2007 meetings. January 12-13, 2007, Commission meeting, Olympia February 2-3, 2007, Commission meeting, Olympia March 9-10, 2007, Commission meeting, Olympia April 6-7, 2007, Commission meeting, Ellensburg June 1-2, 2007, Commission meeting, Spokane October 5-6, 2007, Commission meeting, Olympia November 2-3, 2007, Commission meeting, Winthrop December 7-8, 2007, Commission meeting, Port Angeles Commission staff will work with the Washington State Conservation Commission to set a location and date in August 2007 for a one-day joint meeting between the two Commissions. This joint meeting (to be held in San Juan County) will be held in conjunction with the Fish and Wildlife Commission's two-day regular meeting. Conference calls in 2007 will be held the first and third Friday of each month at 8:30 a.m. GENERAL DISCUSSION: Commissioners and Director Koenings discussed recent activities and items of interest.
