WDFW Website

Q: What should I do if something isn't working correctly?

A: Please use our Bug Report Form to notify us of any malfunctions, errors, or typos.

Q: What are PDF files and how do I view them?

A: PDF documents are in Adobe Portable Document Format. In order to view these types of documents, you need to download and install Adobe Acrobat Reader. Acrobat is a free program that installs itself as a "plug-in" to your Web browser. Once installed, you may view and print PDF files from your Web browser. See Adobe's Website for more details on how to download and install Adobe Acrobat.

Q: I have Adobe Acrobat installed, but I still cannot view PDF files on the WDFW Website.

A: Make sure you have Adobe Acrobat Reader version 5.0 installed. Older versions of Adobe Acrobat Reader may not be able to correctly display the PDF files on our Website. You can test your installation by clicking here. If you still have difficulties, please access Adobe's Support Site.

Q: Why do you use PDF documents?

A: We try to minimize the use of PDF files as much as possible. However, some documents such as the Hunting or Fishing pamphlets, do not lend themselves to conversion to HTML and/or would require too much time and effort to convert. Other documents, such as application forms, need to be formatted precisely in order to facilitate printing. PDF is a quasi-standard for technical manuals, regulation booklets, etc., and is used throughout the Internet for just this purpose.

Q: How do I get back to the WDFW Homepage?

A: Click on the WDFW logo in the upper left-hand corner of our Web pages to get back to the WDFW Homepage.

Q: Why don't you have information on _________ on the Website?

A: We are constantly adding to the Website. If there is data or information you would like to see made available online, please send a message to our Webmaster at webmaster@dfw.wa.gov.

Q: Can I contact WDFW via e-mail?

A: Yes. Please see our Contact Information page for a complete list of WDFW program e-mail addresses.
