Aquatic Plant Monitoring
Freshwater aquatic plant monitoring is conducted within the Department of Ecology’s Environmental Assessment Program. The monitoring program’s purpose is to track aquatic plant community changes in lakes and rivers throughout the state, concentrating on invasive non-native species such as Eurasian milfoil.
