Not typically caught commercially or recreationally.

Description: 3 dorsal fins, 2 anal fins. A short chin barbell. 1st anal fin begins below rear of 1st dorsal fin. Olive-green or brownish above; white below. Edge of fins dusky.

Size: To 30 cm (12 inches)

Range/Habitat: Bering Sea to Pt. Sal, California. On or near bottom adults at about 90-720 feet
(27-219 m). Young shallower, often near surface.
