Columbia River Spring Chinook
Sport Fishery Above Bonneville Dam
- The states of Washington and Oregon met today to review the on-going Columbia River spring Chinook sport fishery above Bonneville Dam.
- No action was taken on this fishery. The fishery will remain open as scheduled through Thursday May 3, 2007.
- Effective 12:01 AM Friday May 4, 2007 the Columbia River from Bonneville Dam upstream to McNary Dam will close for salmon retention and revert back to permanent regulations.
- Check the fishing pamphlet for regulations on Chinook retention in Washington tributaries.
- A Compact is scheduled for 1:00 p.m. Monday May 7 via telephone to review upriver Chinook stock status and consider the possibility of additional fishing opportunities in the Columbia River.
