Columbia River Compact / Joint State Action Notice

The following Columbia River Seasons were set:

2006 COMMERCIAL SALMON FISHERY
DATES:

7 PM Sunday October 8 to 7 PM Monday October 9, 2006 (24 hrs)

AREA: Zones 1-5
SANCTUARIES: Elokomin-A, Abernathy, Cowlitz River, Kalama-A, Lewis-A, Washougal and Sandy Rivers.
GEAR: No minimum mesh size 9 3/4 inch maximum mesh size
ALLOWABLE SALES: Chinook, coho, and sturgeon. A maximum of eight white sturgeon total may be possessed or sold by each participating vessel during each calendar week (Sunday through Saturday) that the fishery is open. The sturgeon possession/sales limit includes both mainstem and Select Area commercial fisheries. Green sturgeon retention is prohibited in all commercial fisheries.
MISCELLANEOUS RULES:

Quick Reporting Rules will be in effect for Washington buyers. WAC 220-69-240
Washington buyers are required to send a report of their landings to WDFW by 10AM on the day after the purchase date by either:
