Columbia River Spring Season Update
- The states of Washington and Oregon met today to review spring Chinook stock status. The preseason forecast of 78,500 fish remains in place as an in- season run size estimate.
- No action was taken today. Fisheries in the Columbia River below McNary Dam are currently closed for retention of spring Chinook.
- Check the fishing pamphlet for regulations on Chinook retention in the mainstem Columbia River and Washington tributaries.
- No hearings are scheduled at this time. Staff will continue to monitor the progress of the upriver run and will schedule a hearing when warranted.
