2008 Treaty Indian Mainstem Platform and Hook and Line Fishery
Effective 6:00 PM Sunday May 11, 2008 all mainstem platform and hook and line fisheries will close.

2008 Yakama Nation Tributary Fishery
Dates: 6:00 AM, Monday, May 12, 2008 until further notice.

Area:

Zone 6 tributaries.

Gear:

Hoop Nets, Dip Nets and hook and line. Gill nets are allowed in Drano Lake only.

Allowable Sales:

Chinook, steelhead, walleye, carp, and shad may be sold or retained for subsistence. Sturgeon may not be sold.

Commercial sales of fish caught in Zone 6 tributary fisheries are allowed. This applies only to fish caught during those days and hours when those tributaries are open under lawfully enacted Yakama Nation tribal subsistence fisheries, for enrolled Yakama Nation members.

  • A Compact hearing is scheduled for 10AM Monday May 12 (via teleconference) to update the upriver spring Chinook runsize and review non-Indian fisheries.
