The states of Washington and Oregon met today
to review the stock status of Columbia River
upriver spring chinook and took the following action:
The trout (including steelhead) and jack chinook
recreational sport fishery
will NOT open on May 16, 2008
as previously scheduled.
The fishery was scheduled to open under permanent regulations on the Mainstem Columbia River in the area from the Tongue Point/Rocky Point line upstream to the I-5 Bridge.
