THE FOLLOWING COLUMBIA RIVER SEASONS WERE SET:

Late Fall Non-Indian Commercial Salmon Fishery
Time: 6 PM Wednesday Oct 15 through 6 AM Thursday Oct 16 (12 hours each)
8 PM Thursday Oct 16 through 8 AM Friday Oct 17
Area: Zones 4-5 (SMCRA 1D, 1E)
Gear: 8-inch minimum mesh size
 
Time 7 AM - 7 PM Thursday October 16 (12 hours)
Area: Zones 1-3 upstream to the Longview Bridge, and Zones 4-5 (SMCRA 1A, 1B, 1C, 1D, 1E)
Gear: No minimum mesh size restriction
 

Allowable Sales:

Salmon and white sturgeon. A maximum of 3 white sturgeon may be possessed or sold by each participating vessel during each calendar week (Sunday through Saturday) that the fishery is open. Limit applies to mainstem only. Select Areas remain closed to white sturgeon retention.
Sanctuaries: Grays, Elochoman-A, Lewis-B, Sandy and Washougal rivers as applicable.

Additional Rules:

24 hour Quick Reporting Rules will be in effect for Washington buyers.

Nets not specifically authorized for use in this fishery may be onboard the vessel if properly stored. A properly stored net is defined as a net on a drum that is fully covered by a tarp (canvas or plastic) and bound with a minimum of ten revolutions of rope with a diameter of 3/8 (0.375) inches or greater

No additional Compact hearings are scheduled. Staff will continue to monitor all ongoing fisheries and announce additional hearings as needed.
