2007 Treaty Indian Fisheries - Summer Season
DATES:

6:00 AM Tuesday, June 26 through 6:00 PM Friday, June 29, 2007 (3.5 Days)
6:00 AM Tuesday, July 3 through 6:00 PM Friday, July 6, 2007 (3.5 Days)

AREA: Zone 6
GEAR: 7 inch minimum mesh size restriction
SANCTUARIES: Standard river mouth and dam sanctuaries remain in effect. The Spring Creek Hatchery Sanctuary is not necessary this time of year.
ALLOWABLE SALES: Chinook, coho, steelhead, walleye, carp, and shad may be sold or retained for subsistence. Sockeye may not be sold but may be retained for subsistence. Sturgeon may not be sold. Sturgeon between 4-5 feet in length in The Dalles and John Day pools may be retained for subsistence. Sturgeon between 45-60 inches in the Bonneville pool may also be retained for subsistence.

Sales of platform and hook and line caught fish will be allowed effective 6AM June 16 and continue until further notice. The intent is to allow sales of platform and hook and line caught fish through the summer season.

The Yakama Nation will allow commercial sales of fish caught in their Zone 6 tributary fisheries effective 6AM June 16 when the tributary openings overlap with commercial openings in Zone 6. The allowed species for sale would coincide with the mainstem fisheries.

MISCELLANEOUS RULES: The quick reporting rule for Washington buyers will be in effect.

Tributary Regularly Scheduled Opening
Wind River:

Noon Monday to 6 PM Saturday through June 23.

Big White Salmon River: Closed Sundays.
Klickitat River: Noon Tuesday to 6 PM Saturdays through December 22.
