Columbia River Compact / Joint State Action Notice

THE FOLLOWING COLUMBIA RIVER SEASONS WERE SET:

Late Fall Non-Indian Commercial Salmon Fishery

Season #1: 7 PM Tuesday, October 27 to 7 AM Wednesday, October 28, 2009 (12 hours)

Area: Zones 4-5

Gear: 8-inch minimum mesh size.

Season #2: 7 AM – 7 PM Wednesday, October 28, 2009 (12 hours)

Area: Zones 2-3

Gear: No minimum mesh size.

Applies to above fisheries

Allowable Sales: Salmon. No sturgeon retention.

Sanctuaries: As applicable: Grays, Elokomin-A, Cowlitz, Kalama-A, Lewis-A, Sandy, and Washougal rivers.

Additional Rules:
24 hour Quick Reporting Rules will be in effect for Washington buyers.

No Compact hearings are scheduled at this time.
