SPORT QUOTA REPORT Port Summaries Columbia Ocean Area (including Oregon) - Ocean Area 1: opened for recreational salmon fishing on Sunday, June 29 with a quota of 112,500 coho and a guideline of 12,700 chinook. Water conditions this past week were good to fair. The catch estimates for Area 1 during week 28 are 243 chinook and 4,738 coho. No pink were landed. Cumulative catches through July 13 total 481 chinook (4% of the guideline) and 9,275 coho (8% of the quota). Westport - Ocean Area 2: opened for recreational salmon fishing on Sunday, June 22 with a quota of 83,250 coho and a guideline of 40,600 chinook. Water conditions this past week were good to fair. The catch estimates for Area 2 during week 28 are 909 chinook and 4,474 coho. A total of 74 pink were also landed. Cumulative catches through July 13 total 4,139 chinook (10% of the guideline) and 9,848 coho (12% of the quota). La Push - Ocean Area 3: opened for recreational salmon fishing on Sunday, June 22 with a quota of 5,750 coho and a guideline of 2,300 chinook1. Water conditions this past week were good to fair. The catch estimates for Area 3 during week 28 are 120 chinook and 210 coho. A total of 38 pink were also landed. Cumulative catches through July 13 total 398 chinook (17% of the guideline) and 651 coho (11% of the quota). Neah Bay - Ocean
Area 4: opened for recreational salmon fishing on Sunday, June 22
with a quota of 23,400 coho and a guideline of 3,900 chinook. Water conditions
this past week were good to fair. The catch estimates for Area 4 during
week 28 are 799 chinook and 1,718 coho. A total of 479 pink were also
landed. Cumulative catches through July 13 total 2,345 chinook
(60% of the guideline) and 3,941 coho (17% of the quota) |
