WDFW - Ringold, Hanford Reach and Yakima River Fishing Reports

During March an estimated 506 steelhead were caught, 300 of these were retained (270 adrv, 30 ad), 3 wild steelhead were caught and released. Catch, harvest, and angler effort for March was higher than the past two years and a little below March 2004. Anglers average 5 hours per steelhead. Boat anglers averaged 3.8 hours per steelhead and bank anglers averaged 6.7 hours per fish.

As of April 1 this fishery will be restricted to "bank fishing only" from the WDFW markers 1/4 mile downstream of the Ringold irrigation wasteway outlet to the markers ½ mile upstream of Spring Creek (hatchery outlet).
