WDFW -- Ringold Steelhead Fishery

For the month of October, an estimated 596 steelhead were caught in the Ringold fishery (Hwy 395 to old Hanford town site). Of these, 264 were retained. Catch rates were roughly 30% higher in October 2007 compared to the past two years but harvest was about 20% lower due to a higher porportion of adipose only and wild steelhead in the fishery in 2007. Only 47% of the fish caught were Ringold origin in October (adrv).
