Restriction Overview for Marine Protected Areas

The following table is an overview of restrictions and openings for takes by species category and MPA. You can click on the MPA name to retrieve more detailed information.

These restrictions apply only to the non-tribal public.
Harvesting of oysters, clams, and mussels by owners of and on their tidelands is not restricted.

Codes used for species categories are:

• Slm = Salmon
• Trt = Sea trout
• Btm = Bottomfish
• Shl = Shellfish
• FrF = Forage Fish
• Unc = Unclassified marine invertebrates and fish
  (a breakdown for each category is included at the bottom of this page)

Abbreviations used for table entries are:

• C = Closed (red background): no takes allowed.
• O = Open (green background): harvest allowed, subject to standing WDFW regulations for the general area.
• L = Limited openings (yellow background): see the detail page for the MPA for more information.
