May 8 – 15, 2008 may be scheduled based upon results of May 1-7 opening. 

Fishery will close earlier if sturgeon ceiling is expected to be attained.

Areas 2G
(easterly of a line from Ledbetter Pt to Toke Pt.), 2H, 2J and 2M

• Notice of intent to participate in this fishery is required by 10am, April 29th, 2008 (use quick reporting phone, fax or email) for the May 1-7^th opening and 10 am, May 7^th for the 8-15^th if extended

• All fishers MUST carry an on-board observer if requested by WDFW

• 9-inch minimum mesh

• Recovery boxes required as required by WAC 220-33-01000F

• Quick Reporting required

• RETENTION OF ALL OTHER SPECIES ESPECIALLY CHINOOK & GREEN STURGEON IS PROHIBITED.  All Chinook, non-legal sturgeon and steelhead must be handled with care to minimize injury and released immediately to the river/bay or an operating recovery box.

• Report ALL encounters of Chinook and Green Sturgeon (Your name, Date of encounter, and Number of species encountered) to either phone number below

• Retrieve any information from spaghetti tags near dorsal fin on Green or White Sturgeon.  For White Sturgeon if you can remove tag before sale, please mail to address below. For Green Sturgeon do NOT remove tags.
