HARVEST PROFILE:
Port Williams is a one-acre county park with approximately 1,200 linear feet of public tidelands.
Not much is known about clam populations on this beach but it is mostly rocky substrate and
there is probably not a lot of clam resource here.
DIRECTIONS TO SITE:
To reach Port Williams coming east on Highway 101 from Port Angeles,
travel 15 miles to Sequim and take the Sequim Avenue exit. Take a left on Sequim Avenue and proceed about a half mile to the intersection of Sequim Avenue and
Washington Street. Go straight through the light and follow Sequim Avenue (which becomes Sequim - Dungeness Way north of Washington Street)
for about one mile. Look for the sign for Port Williams on the right side of
the road at the intersection of Port Williams Road and Sequim - Dungeness Way.
Take a right on Port Williams Road and continue for about three miles to Port Williams.
The road ends at the park. To reach Port Williams coming west on Highway
101 from the Hood Canal Bridge, travel west on Highway 104 for about 16 miles until Highway 104 merges with Highway 101 (about one mile
east of Discovery Bay). Continue west on Highway 101. If you are coming from the south on Highway 101 (from Shelton, Olympia, etc.)
it is about 86 miles from Olympia to Discovery Bay. Continue west on Highway 101 from Discovery Bay
for about another 20 miles to Sequim. Take the first Sequim exit (Washington Street), a right turn. Stay on Washington Street for about a mile until you reach the
the intersection of Sequim Avenue and Washington Street. Take a right on Sequim Avenue (which becomes Sequim - Dungeness Way north of Washington Street)
for about one mile. Look for the sign for Port Williams on the right side of
the road at the intersection of Port Williams Road and Sequim - Dungeness Way.
Take a right on Port Williams Road and continue for about three miles to Port Williams.
The road ends at the park.
FACILITIES:
There is a vault toilet, boat ramp, and picnic area at Port Williams.
