NOTE: Recreational shellfish harvesters should avoid the area around the ferry dock and marina on the eastern point and the boat mooring area on the western point of the island due to contamination concerns (Map).
HARVEST PROFILE:
Blake Island State Park has harvestable numbers of native littleneck clams,
and butter clams.
Cockles and Manila clams
are also available on this beach. Geoducks
may also be present on this beach below the -2.0' tidal level.
DIRECTIONS TO SITE:
Blake Island is boat access only. There is no upland access to this beach. GPS coordinates for the south end of the island are 47.53ºN, 122.49ºW.
Nearest boat ramps: The Manchester public boat ramp is approximately 1.7 nautical miles by boat from the northwest end of
Blake Island. FACILITIES:
Blake Island State Park offers seasonal concessions, restrooms, picnic areas, year-round camping, docks, moorage floats,
fire circles, horseshoe pits, volleyball fields, hiking and biking trails.
