HARVEST PROFILE:
West Quilcene Bay is primarily an oyster beach, but it is possible that there are also native littleneck clams
, Manila clams and butter clams near the north end of this beach in-shore of the old railroad trestle pilings.
This beach has a very good oyster population.
Most of the oysters are attached to rocks and shucking here is not as easy as it is on beaches with single and clustered oysters.

DIRECTIONS TO SITE: West Quilcene Bay is a boat access
only beach. There is no upland access to this beach. The length of this beach is approximately one half mile from boundary to boundary. The boundaries of this beach may not be marked.
The north end of this beach is approximately 360 yards south of the Quilcene Marina entrance and is just north of the base of a ravine and old landslide.
Another landmark is an old row of pilings which form a semicircle around the north part of the beach.
The south end of the pilings mark the approximate midpoint of the beach. The south end of West Quilcene Bay is about 500 yards south of the south end of the pilings and is just north of a small cove.
The Quilcene Marina ramp is a short distance by boat from West Quilcene Bay.
Quilcene Marina is located about one mile south of the town of Quilcene on Linger Longer Road. There is a fee for using the boat ramp. FACILITIES:
None. There are restrooms, showers, and a pay phone at Quilcene Marina. There is a small picnic spot and swimming area on the south side of the marina property.
