HARVEST PROFILE: The lagoon and the outer beach (Pt. Whitney Tidelands) both have Manila littleneck clams. The best spot on the outer beach is west of the pier, near the outlet of the lagoon. There are some native littleneck clams around the pier and elsewhere in sand and gravel substrate. There are butter clams present in the area around the pier.

There are oysters in the lagoon and on the outer tidelands. The average size for oysters is small and harvesters are reminded that there is a 2 1/2 inch minimum size. The highest oyster abundance is at the south end of the outer tidelands.
