HARVEST PROFILE: Not much is known about clam populations on this beach, but most of it is steep and rocky.
There are
some oysters attached to the rocks on this beach.

A good harvest alternative to North McDaniel Cove is South Tekiu, a good boat access clam and oyster beach which is located about 2 miles by boat southeast of Triton Cove State Park ramp on the east side of Hood Canal.
DIRECTIONS TO SITE:
North McDaniel Cove is boat access only. There is no upland access. Please use caution landing by boat on this beach. It is steep and very rocky.
The south boundary of this beach is about 100 yards northeast of the Highway 101 bridge over McDonald Creek.
This beach is approximately one half of a mile from boundary to boundary.
Neither boundary is well marked. There are "no trespassing" signs posted
at the southwest end of the beach near the bridge.
The uplands of this beach are private and there are houses just above the beach.
It is recommended that harvesters stay near the approximate midpoint
of this beach to avoid trespassing. Approximate GPS coordinates of the midpoint
of North McDaniel Cove are: 47.628º N, 122.949º W.
Nearest boat ramps: Triton Cove State Park ramp (located south of Brinnon on Highway 101)
is about two nautical miles by boat to North McDaniel Cove. FACILITIES:
None. There are vault toilets and water at Triton Cove State Park. There are facilities for boaters at Pleasant Harbor Marina.
