Boat Access---Located on the west side of Long Island, along the western shoreline of Jensen Spit. Site is from mean high water extending west approximately 200 feet at the north end and 400 feet at the south end. The western boundary ends along a posted line shared with adjacent privately owned tideland tracts. Harvest is allowed only within the area posted with DNR signs. This is the only area open to the public in this vicinity, all other tidelands in this area are privately held, whether posted or not. Please stay within the posted area and respect the boundaries of adjacent tideland owners. Approximate GPS coordinates are as follows:

North corner N 46° 27.478 W 124° 00.043

South corner N 46° 27.248 W 123° 59.720

Note: The tidal elevation of this site is very high (>+3.0' MLLW) and there are extensive aquaculture operations west of the site. Harvesters are advised to access the site only at high water to avoid beaching and trespassing on adjacent privately held tidelands. Caution: There are oyster longlines located along the extreme bay channel edge approximately 0.5 miles to the west of this site.

Camping is permitted on Long Island. There are five campgrounds containing a total of 24 campsites. Call the Willapa National Wildlife Refuge, (360) 484-3482, to inquire about campsite availability prior to your trip.

Sanitary Facilities: Vault toilets are available at each campground. A public restroom is also located across the highway from the Refuge boat launch.

Nearest boat launch is located at Willapa Bay Wildlife Refuge or Port of Peninsula.
