RECREATIONAL CRAB HARVEST
Marine Area 7 - San Juan Islands

Rules & Seasons

CRAB: Dungeness and red rock, all fishing methods,
opens and closes in the three Marine Area 7 SubAreas as listed below.

NOTE: all fishing gear must be removed from the water
by one hour after sunset on the last day of any fishing period.

Marine SubArea 7 South - San Juan Islands
OPEN
Open Wednesday through Saturday only through September 1, plus the entire Labor Day weekend (Aug. 30-Sept. 1).

Marine SubArea 7 East - Anacortes to Bellingham
CLOSED
Will open 7 a.m. July 16, 2008, Wednesday through Saturday only through September 30, plus the entire Labor Day weekend (Aug. 30-Sept. 1).

Marine SubArea 7 North - Bellingham to Pt. Roberts
CLOSED

Will open 7 a.m. August 13, 2008, Wednesday through Saturday only through September 30, plus the entire Labor Day weekend (Aug. 30-Sept. 1).

NOTE: all fishing gear must be removed from the water
by one hour after sunset on the last day of any fishing period.

Marine Area 7, SubArea Descriptions

"7-S" Marine Area 7-South = San Juan Islands portion of Marine Area 7
"That portion of Marine Area 7 south and west of a line projected from Village Point, Lummi Island through the navigation buoy just east of Matia Island thence to the buoy at Clements Reef thence to the easternmost point of Patos Island, running along the northern shoreline of Patos Island and from the westernmost point of Patos Island due west to the international boundary; and westerly of a straight line from the northernmost tip of Sinclair Island through Lummi Rocks to Lummi Island; and west of a line projected from the southeast point of Sinclair Island to the ferry dock at Shannon Point."

"7-E" Marine Area 7-East = The Anacortes to Bellingham portion of Marine Area 7
"That portion of Marine Area 7 south of a line that extends from Point Francis on Portage Island, through the marker just north of Inati Bay on Lummi Island to Lummi Island, and east of a line that extends from the Anacortes ferry dock at Shannon Point, northward to the southeastern tip of Sinclair Island, thence from the northernmost tip of Sinclair Island through Lummi Rocks to Lummi Island."

"7-N" Marine Area 7-North = The Gulf of Georgia portion of Marine Area 7
"That portion of Marine Area 7 north and east of a line projected from Village Point, Lummi Island through the navigation buoy just east of Matia Island thence to the buoy at Clements Reef thence to the easternmost point of Patos Island, running along the northern shoreline of Patos Island and from the westernmost point of Patos Island due west to the international boundary and north of a line that extends from Point Francis on Portage Island, through the marker just north of Inati Bay on Lummi Island to Lummi Island."
