Coastal Commercial Dungness Crab Fishers and Processors WDFW Industry Notice
June 3, 2009

The area from Raft River to Split Rock out to 27 fathoms will open to state fishers at 8:00 am June 6, 2009. Fishers are limited to 100-pots in this area and must notify WDFW prior to setting gear. Notification can be made by one of the three following methods.

  • Fax transmission to Brandon Bryant at 360-664-0689;
  • Email to Brandon Bryant at: bryanblb@dfw.wa.gov or
  • Telephone call to Brandon Bryant at: 360.249.1229

If an individual has provided the Department with notice of intent to set gear and later decides not to deploy gear, a notice to that affect should be given by one of the three means listed above.

The open area is described by the following coordinates:

Northeast Corner (Raft River): 47º28.00 N. Lat. 124º20.70 W. Lon.
Northwest Corner: 47º28.00 N. Lat. 124º34.00 W. Lon.
Southwest Corner (Split Rock): 47º24.50 N. Lat. 124º32.40 W. Lon.
Southeast Corner: 47º24.50 N. Lat. 124º20.00 W. Lon.

Reminder: The pot limit in place in the Quileute SMA was removed at 8:00 am June 1, 2009; there are no SMA restrictions currently in the Quileute SMA area.
