Alternative Commercial Salmon Fishing Gears & Methods:
Lower Columbia River & Estuary - Purse Sein, Beach Seine and Additional Methods

The Washington State Department of Fish and Wildlife (WDFW) is seeking bids to provide fishing services (vessel and operator/crew) to fish for salmon in the Columbia River for the purpose of testing certain types of commercial gear. WDFW reserves the right to hire one or more successful bidders for this project. WDFW also reserves the right to select the best vessel/operator as needed based on equipment needs and location of services to be provided. Initial contracts will be written for a period of six months to one year with the option, at WDFW sole discretion, to renew contracts for a total not to exceed six years.
