WDFW Beach Season Information

Clam, mussel, and oyster seasons OPEN for harvest year-round, except tidelands of Rosario Bay from the northern park boundary to Rosario Head are CLOSED to harvest year-round. 

WDFW shellfish seasons indicate the specific times of year when harvesting is permitted. Before heading to the beach, please also check the Department of Health (DOH) information below which is related to health of the shellfish and may be updated daily. To harvest on this beach, it must be both during the WDFW approved season and approved by the DOH.

Harvest profile

Not much is known about clam resources on this beach. Oysters are not common in this location. The tidelands from the northern park boundary to Rosario Head (48.417171N/122.666393W) are closed year round to protect delicate tidepool areas.

A Discover Pass is required for parking at Deception Pass State Park.
