There is not much clam resource on this beach, but there are some oysters.
DIRECTION TO SITE Tolmie State Park is located eight miles northeast of Olympia. Coming from Interstate 5, take exit #111 (Marvin Road) and follow signs to the park, approximately five miles.
FACILITIES Tolmie State Park is day use only. It has two kitchen shelters with electricity, plus 11 sheltered and 20 unsheltered picnic tables. Kitchen shelters include picnic tables, water, sinks and grills. There is an underwater park located just offshore of Tolmie State Park.
FUN FACTS/OTHER INFORMATION Tolmie State Park is named for Dr. William Frazer Tolmie (1812-1866) who spent 16 years with the Hudson Bay Company at Fort Nisqually as a physician, surgeon, botanist and fur trader.
