South Skookum Lake

Located six miles northwest of Usk in Kaniksu National Forest. South Skookum is at 3529 feet elevation. Open 4^th Saturday in April through October 31. Rainbow trout fry plants provide some nice catches. Carryovers run 10 to 11 inches.

This lake has a Forest Service campground and boat ramp.

To protect breeding common loons, it is unlawful to use lead weights or lead jigs that measure 1.5 inches or less along the longest axis.
