About two miles north of Manson, just north of Dry and Roses lakes.
Late spring plants of fingerling Rainbow Trout have been providing good to excellent fishing the following spring for fish in the 12 to 16 inch range.
In September 2012 the Region 2 Warmwater Team surveyed Wapato Lake. They found abundant Largemouth Bass in the 12–15 inch range and good numbers of large Yellow Perch (up to 13 inches). Good Largemouth Bass fishing can be found around the submerged logs along the northeast side of the lake.
The former public access area at the east end of the lake is no longer controlled by WDFW; new owners are presently not charging a fee to use this site. Private campgrounds are located at both ends of the lake.
