Large Woody Debris - 2005 Field Season

Large Woody Debris (LWD) is defined as woody material with a small end diameter greater than or equal to 10 cm (4 in.) and a length of at least 1.5 m (5 ft.). The tally includes all woody material that are at least partially in the baseflow channel, the active channel (i.e., bankfull channel) or spanning the active channel. This includes rootwads of live trees.
