Seabeck Creek Watershed Coho Distribution Map EMAP and Stream Flow Gauges Map Stream Temperature Map Click map for enlargement Seabeck Creek Coho Distribution The spatial distribution of spawning salmon is estimated from surveys of spawning salmon, carcasses and redds. The spatial distribution of juvenile salmon is estimated from extensive surveys and reach-scale summer sampling. These data are used to assess the use of available habitat by salmon. Click map for enlargement Seabeck Creek EMAP and Stream Flow Gauges Stream habitat attributes are measured annually using a modification of the US EPA Environmental Monitoring and Assessment (EMAP) wadeable stream survey protocol. Crest gauges and piezometers are used to estimate water surface elevations in summer and winter. These data are used to assess the relative importance of winter high flows and summer low flows on salmon production. Temperature describes an important component of salmon habitat quality.
