About Vehicle Use Permit

The Eby Island Wildlife Area includes two parcels in Snohomish County in the floodplain of the Snohomish River. Ebey Island is located between the towns of Snohomish and Everett.

The larger parcel is 417 acres and consists of regrowth from logging in the early 1900s. This area is unique because it is one of the few remaining wooded swamps in the Snohomish estuary. The second parcel occurs about one mile downstream and is 3.5 acres of grassland.

Currently there is no legal access to either parcel. Both are landlocked on three sides by private land, and the diking district owns the dike on the slough side.
