The Dungeness unit is 216 acres located seven miles northwest of Sequim. It is leased for public recreation, wetland management and waterfowl habitat. Mowing and farming are conducted to enhance cover and forage for the benefit of wintering waterfowl. The unit is a pheasant release site for fall hunting. Habitat types include marsh wetland, wet upland meadows and upland.
