Washington Dept. of Fish and Wildlife2000 WASHINGTON FISHING GUIDE

Bonus Trout Program...

Over forty lakes throughout the state have been selected to receive a "bonus" plant of large trout as part of a special program passed by the state legislature. These trout are triploid rainbows averaging 1-1/2 pounds each, purchased by the Department of Fish and Wildlife. Because they are sterile triploids, fish that "carry over," or are not harvested and survive to the next season or beyond, have the possibility to grow to trophy size. The following lakes are scheduled to receive these fish:

Benton County: Columbia Park Lagoon

Chelan County: Wapato Lake

Clark County: Klineline Pond

Cowlitz County: Horseshoe Lake

Franklin County: Railroad Pond

Grays Harbor County: Failor Lake

Island County: Lone Lake

King County: Angle, Geneva, Pine, Steel and Wilderness lakes

Kitsap County: Kitsap Lake

Kittitas County: N. Fio Rito and Mattoon lakes

Klickitat County: N. Rowland Lake

Lewis County: Fort Borst Park and Mineral lakes

Mason County: Benson and Wooten lakes

Okanogan County: Spectacle Lake

Pierce County: Rapjohn Lake

Skamania County: Kidney Lake

Snohomish County: Armstrong, Blackmans, Bosworth, Ki, Martha (both Alderwood Manor and Warm Beach), Loma and Silver lakes; and Gissberg ponds
