Dear Director:

I'm not sure if this will ever make it to you, but I just wanted to pass along a thank you while it is still fresh in my mind.

Yesterday I took my elderly dad and uncle (80 and 86) fishing at Cascade Lake on Orcas Island. As we all had grown up on the island, it was a chance to revisit and reminisce years past. It was an exceptional day and the fishing was the best any of us could ever remember, thinking back to our days of youth.

Your stocking program of using larger trout is outstanding. The joy of seeing those two play and land 12 to 14 inch trout on super light tackle will be with me for the rest of my life. And I know it was a major event and highlight for both of them that they will both cherish for their years remaining and take with them to the eternal fishing grounds.

Thanks for your excellent fish stocking program and all your efforts at trying to meet everyone's wants in managing our precious resources.

Sincerely,

J.P.
Anacortes, WA
