Subject: Message for Dan Ayres - Shellfish

This is a note for Dan Ayres and his crew. I just want to thank them all for the great job they have been doing in managing the razor clam harvests. I'm 39 years old, but have only been digging for the last six years (my parents weren't into going to the coast). I was hooked the first time I went digging. Now I dig whenever I can.

(I've even become so avid as to have built what we call the "CLAMINATOR", nothing more than a dual-tired wheelbarrow with 1OO-W aircraft landing lights for night digging. Its cool.)

Anyway, back to the original intent of this letter. To once again say thanks to you folks for maintaining and improving on our resource. Your efforts will ensure that I'll be digging until I'm and old man.
