Subject: Helpful officers

I wanted to thank you and a couple of your officers that checked me near Tatoosh Island on July 26. I was fishing for bottom fish with my family with very little success so we switched to salmon. We were catching pinks, but our goal was still to catch botton fish. Your officers approached, waited until we landed and released a pink and then came along side. They were very friendly, checked our gear and licenses and then tood the time to suggest where we should fish, how we should fish, and what we should use. Their advise turned our trip around and made a big impression on my wife and son. I should have noticed their names, but I'm sure they were from the area because they knew it so well. Because of their help we are planning a return trip to the area. Thank you all very much.

Ron and family
